Bethany Lutheran College Alumni Event On February 23, we hosted an event for their alumni and friends of Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) in the Los Angeles area. There were twenty-five people in attendance. A taco meal was provided and Christopher Kind, the Director of Development from BLC, gave a presentation on the college. Blessing of the Golfers On September 14, Pastor Matt and Santi hosted a table at the Annual Bell Gardens Golf Tournament. Outreach Volunteer Recently, God blessed us with a volunteer from the North Hollywood congregation to help with outreach and evangelism. He will be spending most Thursdays and Fridays helping Pastor Matt with producing content for social media, canvassing neighborhoods, and making visits to our prospects. He will also lead an adult bible study in Spanish on Friday evenings during the youth catechism class. Approximately once a month, he will join us for worship. New Member Welcome On July 15, Edgar Aguilar was baptized and welcomed as a communicant member of our congregation. We rejoice at Edgar being united to the Christian church. Building Remodel The project continues! This week, gutters were installed on the north side of the building. On May 30, we underwent our inspection with the city of Bell Gardens. We had several minor corrections to make ranging from exit sign placement to door handle types. Soon, we will undergo a final inspection. The last area of focus will be exterior signage. Developments at Cristo Rey

The following are a few recent developments from April-May at Cristo Rey Lutheran Church. Partnership with Kingdom Workers Last week, Kingdom Workers approved adopting us as a host congregation. This means they are committed to partnering with us on outreach and evangelism projects. They will be sending a team of Spanish-speaking volunteers to canvass neighborhoods this summer. Project 180 – Building Renovation God has richly blessed our congregation through our building project. Members and volunteers spent quality time working alongside each other. Our neighbors and members from the community stopped by to see the progress. A beautiful and reverent worship space was created.
